If I stretch hard enough, I think I can feel the world at my fingertips

I just finished my first day of teaching and had a great time!! woohoo!!!

As I sit in my classroom trying to review and prepare for tomorrow's classes, I keep getting distracted by all the life that is happening outside of my window. I think it just hit me that I am really doing this... I am really teaching English for the next year in South Korea. I think I now believe that this is finally happening.

It makes me realize how easy it is to make anywhere home with the right attitude. Sure, I miss California. Sure, I miss my family, my friends, and all the fun I had at my boat and the beach this past summer. But, this is a different kind of experience... more of a stretching experience. I think I'm slowly proving to myself that the world actually is at my fingertips, I just have to keep stretching. And I now feel more optimistic than ever before.
